Lee Hyeri sheds tears as Choi Sung-won is fighting against leukemia

'Lee Hyeri' has revealed her sad feelings about Choi Sung-won, who was recently diagnosed with acute leukemia.

'Lee Hyeri' cried tears during her meeting with reporters about her drama SBS Wednesday & Thursday drama, "Entertainers".

Choi Sung-won and 'Lee Hyeri' co-starred as siblings (Seong No-eul and Seong Deok-seon) in tvN's hit drama, 'Reply 1988'.

'Lee Hyeri' said, "It is heartbreaking news. I'm feeling so sorry and sad for him".

She continued, "He's got such a bright personality and he makes a good brother. I hope he will overcome it soon and be healthy again".

She also asked Choi Sung-won's fans to support him. 'Lee Hyeri' said, "I believe more fans will join to cheer him. We will also keep supporting him and watch how he does. I hope he will overcome it and can come back to work".

Choi Sung-won revealed about his diagnosis a couple of days ago on May 9th. He also decided to withdraw from JTBC's 'Mirror of Witch' as well to focus on his treatment".

Choi Sung-won's agency said, "He started on chemotherapy. We hope he will be able to come back a year later".
