"Phantom Detective" turns legendary character Hong Gil-dong into a Robin Hood figure and attempts at a new genre of detective movies never attempted before in Korea. The director of "A Werewolf Boy" takes the lead.
Lee Je-hoon said, "I was impressed by the unique story and I was drawn to Hong Gil-dong. I am also putting a lot of trust in Jo Seong-hee the director".
Jo Seong-hee said, "I felt Lee Je-hoon's meticulousness and sensitivity was perfect for the role of Hong Gil-dong. He is the character itself".
Meanwhile, Lee Je-hoon starred in various movies like "The Front Line", "Architecture 101" and "Paparoti" before he joined National Service. "Phantom Detective" will start filming in November.
