Lee Ji-eun Returns with Horror Romantic Comedy

Singer-songwriter and actress Lee Ji-eun is back on the small screen sooner than she expected with tvN drama "Hotel Del Luna".

Speaking at a press junket on Monday, Lee Ji-eun said, "I didn't expect to be back on a TV series this soon after "My Mister"" which ended in May last year. "I was captivated by the role because she's such a strong and impactful character, completely different from my previous gloomy, fragile one".

She said the drastic transformation did worry her, but she was won over by the scriptwriters.

The series is the brainchild of the Hong sisters -- Hong Jeong-eun and Hong Mi-ran -- a successful duo known for their romantic comedies.

"Hotel Del Luna" is a horror romantic comedy. Yeo Jin-goo plays Lee Ji-eun's love interest and it begins airing on Saturday.
