He's starring in "Hymn of Death" for no guarantee out of loyalty for the "While You Were Sleeping - 2017" director Park Soo-jin-II.
"Hymn of Death" is an album presented by Korea's first soprano Yoon Sim-duk in August of 1926 and who is also the pioneer of Korean pop music. Later, the album was re-made into movies, musicals and more. "Hymn of Death" focuses on the tragic love between playwright Kim Woo-jin and soprano Yoon Sim-duk unlike the 1991 movie.
Lee Jong-suk takes on the role of Kim Woo-jin, a genius playwright. Yoon Sim-duk is the only companion and lover of his life.
Park Soo-jin-II has worked on "Doctors", "Dr. Romantic" and "While You Were Sleeping - 2017" and she expressed her gratitude for Lee Jong-suk who agreed to star in "Hymn of Death" for no guarantee.
