According to an OSEN report on July 9th, Lee Ju-myoung and Kim Young-kwang recently received offers for ENA's upcoming drama "Queen of Taming". After positively reviewing the scripts, the two actors have reportedly decided to join the project.
"Queen of Taming" is a battle romance romantic comedy that follows the topsy-turvy relationship between Ji-yong (Kim Young-kwang), a hedge fund manager at the very top of the financial food chain, and Woo-ri (Lee Ju-myoung), a contract veterinarian at the zoo his company acquires. As their employer-employee dynamic is turned on its head, the two become entangled in an unconventional romance.
The drama will be jointly produced by Samhwa Networks and Studio Bom, with director Song Hyeon-wook at the helm.
Lee Ju-myoung recently wrapped up her role as Kang Bang-geul in JTBC's weekend drama "Reborn Rookie", which concluded on July 5th with a peak nationwide rating of 13.6% (Nielsen Korea). Having chosen her next project almost immediately after the series ended, she is now set to take on her first full-fledged romantic comedy.
Kim Young-kwang most recently starred alongside Lee Young-ae in the KBS2 drama "Walking on Thin Ice". He is also awaiting the release of the upcoming Netflix series "Take Charge of My Heart" later this year. With "Queen of Taming", he and Lee Ju-myoung will be teaming up for the first time.
"Queen of Taming" is aiming to premiere next year.
