Lee Ki-woo's agency Never Die Entertainment said Lee Ki-woo was cast in MBC's new historical drama "Knight Flower" (written by Lee Sam, Jung Myung-in/directed by Chang Tae-you, Choi Jung-in-II, Lee Chang-woo/produced by Base Story, Film Drawer, and People Entertainment).
"Knight Flower" is a historical drama that takes place when a widowed woman and Jo Yeo-hwa, who lives a double life over the wall at night, and Park Soo-ho, a working man who everyone covets, are intertwined.
In "Knight Flower" Lee Ki-woo plays Park Yoon-hak, a helper who realizes the ideals of kings together and tries to protect his younger brother's happy life.
Park Yoon-hak is a soft-looking but strong-looking 'foreign and international' type, and he is a character who looks idle, lazy, and drowsy on the outside, but he actually has a sense of duty to taking responsibility for and changing this wrong world by the king's side.
Born as the second son of Joseon's most prestigious family, he grew up with King Lee So's crown prince and knows Lee So's pain and sadness better than anyone else, and he is a character full of love for his younger brother Soo-ho, whom he met 15 years ago.
As Lee Ki-woo, who played various roles through the dramas "My Liberation Notes", "Agency", and "18 Again", is challenging his first historical drama, expectations are high on what new charm he will lead the drama with in "Knight Flower".
Starring Lee Ki-woo, "Knight Flower" is scheduled to air in the second half of this year.
