MBC's Friday-Saturday drama "The Story of Park's Marriage Contract" is a story of a contract marriage between 19th-century Confucian girl Park Yeon-woo (Lee Se-young) and 21st-century Kang Tae-ha who reached Korea in 2023 beyond death. It is based on a web novel and a webtoon of the same name. Producer Park Sang-hoon-III of "Terius Behind Me" (2018) and writer Go Nam-jeong of "Wife Scandal" (2014).
Lee Se-young will appear in an MBC drama for the first time in about two years since "The Red Sleeve" (2021-2022). Yeon-woo is thrown into a well by someone unknown, and comes to the 21st century after 200 years. She meets Tae-ha who has the same name and face as her husband who died vomiting blood. While busy looking for a way to go back to Joseon, she feels a subtle feeling for Tae-ha.
