Lee Seung-gi, Ha Ji-won Among Top Savors This Year

The Financial Services Commission marked the 48th Savings Day on Tuesday by giving savings award to 73 people including one decoration, three medals, and five presidential commendations.

The highest decoration was awarded to Hwang Soon-ja, a 62-year-old woman who has been a street vendor at a market in Seoul for 35 years. With little earnings, Hwang managed to raise her son on her own for 20 years, working from 9 a.m. until 10 p.m. every day, and making daily savings while sponsoring children in need in Africa.
Singer Lee Seung-gi and actress Ha Ji-won received presidential and prime ministerial commendations, respectively.
