According to a SPOTV News report on the 24th, Lee Soo-kyung has been cast in the new drama "Simwumyeon Yeonriri".
"Simwumyeon Yeonriri" is a rural healing drama about a city family that is forcibly relocated to the pristine but harsh region of Yeonliri, where they go through a 'dopamine detox' and discover true happiness in nature.
In the series, Lee Soo-kyung plays Jo Mi-ryeo, a supermom raising three sons on her own while her husband is tied up with work in the city.
She will star opposite Park Sung-woong, who plays her husband Tae-hoon. The two previously appeared together in "Dog Knows Everything", where they portrayed Ki-dong and Kim Se-kyeong, a couple who confirmed their love for each other and promised a future together, ending on a cheerful note. In "Simwumyeon Yeonriri" they upgrade their chemistry by playing a married couple.
The pair became genuine close friends while filming "Dog Knows Everything". At Park Sung-woong's suggestion, they went on to co-star in the two-hander play "Rendezvous", which told the story of two wounded souls finding true love. They also showcased their playful chemistry on Park Sung-woong's YouTube channel "Yuddaknal" ("Perfect Weather for YouTube"), where they traveled to Vietnam together.
As colleagues who know each other better than anyone, Lee Soo-kyung and Park Sung-woong are set to deliver a heartwarming, 'unprocessed healing' performance in "Simwumyeon Yeonriri". Anticipation is high to see what kind of on-screen synergy the duo, now playing husband and wife, will bring to the drama.
