Lee Young-ae Donates Money for Maimed Soldiers

Actress Lee Young-ae has donated W50 million to two soldiers who were maimed by North Korean box mines in the demilitarized zone (US$1=W1,185).

Lee donated the money to a foundation run by the Korea Military Academy and wanted it to be given to the maimed sergeants. She wanted to keep the donation a secret.
Lee has donated huge sums to the foundation on several occasions.
The actress has been a regular contributor to charitable funds, including ones supporting young North Korean defectors.
