Actress Kim You-jung received an offer for a role in a US drama.

According to a statement given by Kim's representative on the 29th, Kim You-jung has been in talks for an HBO drama directed by Lee Sang-woo-IV. However, her side has not yet received the script.
This drama hasn't released any details yet, but from what has been revealed, it will be a horror and feature ghosts. The drama will have multiple directors from Asia pitching in, so it is assumed that different ghosts from different Asian countries will be featured. The episode Kim You-jung is considered for is called "Mongdal". (The Mongdal Ghost in Korea is the ghost of a young man who was not married before death.)
The story "Mongdal" will be about two high schoolers and a mother. Set in a high school in Seoul, a boy who dies in a tragic accident becomes the Mongdal Ghost and his mother tries to kill the girl he liked in order to calm his soul.
Director Lee Sang-woo-IV who helms the drama is known to audience through his many independent movies. In 2010, he was awarded the Best Movie Award at South Korea's University Movie Festival and Best Director at the 2012 Gijon International Film Festival held in Spain.
