Actress Lim Ji-yeon is returning to a historical drama for the first time in eight years since "The Royal Gambler" (2016). She is the best talent in the Joseon Dynasty and commits fraud.

JTBC's "The Tale of Lady Ok" is a survival story of an outsider named Ok Tae-yeong (Lim Ji-yeon) who is fake, and Cheon Seung-hwi (Choo Young-woo), who even risks his life to protect her. Tae-yeong is a Joseon legal expert. She has been intelligent since her birth and has an excellent head, athletic sense, and dexterity. Seung-hwi is Joseon's best lover. He wanders across the country covering his beautiful appearance to read novels. He falls in love with Tae-yeong at first sight and helps her even though he knows who she is.
Director Jin Hyeok of "The Legend of the Blue Sea" (2016-2017) and writer Park Ji-sook of "Uncle" (2021-2022) are coming together for this. The first episode will air next year.
