Singer Lim Young-woong's live birthday celebration on YouTube on Tuesday garnered over 630,000 hits in less than 24 hours.

In the 82-minute livestream, which was watched by some 76,000 fans, Lim sang a number of songs, telling viewers, "I hope COVID-19 goes away soon so that I can meet my fans in concert halls". His mother also made a surprise appearance.
The official website run by his fans recently attracted over 100,000 subscribers. To mark the occasion, his fans are working on various campaigns to make their star shine even more brightly, through their various activities to support charities like scholarships and blood donations.
Lim has become a star overnight after winning TV Chosun's hugely popular audition program "Mr. Trot".
"I once said it feels like a dream every day after winning 'Mr. Trot', but it feels even more so on my birthday. It's all thanks to you, for which I'm so grateful", he said.
