Local Directors Play Jury for Shanghai Film Festival

Local film directors _Kwak_Gyeong-taek and Bong Joon-ho have been appointed as jurors for the 9th Shanghai International Film Festival, which will kick off its nine-day run on June 17.
Kwak, famous for his hit film "Friends" (2001), will serve as a juror of the Jin Jue Award International Film Competition section along with six jury other members including Mexican actress Diana Bracho and Italian director Gabriele Salvatores. French director Luc Besson will serve as president of the section.
Bong, whose upcoming film "The Host" has been invited to the Cannes International Film Festival, is a member of the jury for the Asian New Talent Award International Film Competition section. Three other jurors of the section include Sandra den Hamer, co-director of the International Film Festival, Rotterdam, and Japanese director Kaizo Hayashi.
