Local Films Sell Distribution Rights at Cannes

Along with being a stage where the newest films premiere, the Cannes Film Festival is also a lively market where international distribution rights of films are sold.
Many of the local films that have sold their rights during the festival include: "Arahan" for over 3 billion won to Japan; "Param-ui Fighter" for 2.2 billion won to Japan, and "Punsinsaba" for 120 million won to England.

The horror film "Ryong" is expected to come to agreement for distribution rights to 12 countries, including Taiwan, Thailand, Scandinavia and Hong Kong. "Taepung (Typhoon)" is currently in negotiations with a Japanese distributor.

Other films, including "Inhyongsa" and "Sa Inyong Siktak (The Uninvited)", are expected to sell their distribution rights during the festival.
