A mother who lost her two daughters in the 'suicide case of two supportive actress sisters', posted a video titled "Drama "My Dearest" Non-Watching Movement" on YouTube channel on the 3rd and appealed to an unspecified number of people to conduct a "My Dearest" non-watching campaign.

This mother's daughter, graduate student, filed a complaint with the police after being sexually assaulted by twelve people, including the agency's class president and casting manager, while working as a minor actress in 2004.

However, she took her own life in 2009 after suffering secondary damage from police and being threatened by the perpetrators during the investigation. Her younger sister, who introduced her to the acting job, also committed suicide, causing a great social outrage.

In the YouTube video, the mother said, "One of the perpetrators who made the sisters commit suicide is working as an actor for an MBC drama again. We will continue the non-viewing movement even if it airs in early June until MBC's official position that this certain actor was excluded is released", she claimed.

She added, "I hope MBC will warn the agency and exclude the person immediately".

One netizen's supportive comment also replied, "Most of the perpetrators make money as managers of MBC dramas (assisted cast members)".

Since then, dozens of complaints have been posted on the MBC viewer communication center's viewer counseling room titled "I don't watch the drama "My Dearest"". They raised their voices, saying, "I participate in the "My Dearest" non-viewing movement", and "I don't watch "My Dearest" to which sex offenders belong".

Upon hearing the controversy, MBC made an official statement on the 4th and explained, "We have confirmed that external professional companies related to supporting appearances are also participating in the production of "My Dearest" and that some controversial personnel have visited the site".

"MBC decided to immediately terminate the contract with the companies in order to fundamentally exclude any possible participation in the production site after first banning the person from accessing the production site in consideration of viewers' opinions and concerns", it said.

Finally, MBC concluded, "MBC will do its best to produce the drama "My Dearest" until the end so that it can start its first broadcast with the attention and love of viewers".

On the other hand, "My Dearest" is a historical drama about a time when a lover who was thrown into the disease of the Manchu War was greatly missed and loved. Actors Namkoong Min, Ahn Eun-jin, Lee Hak-joo and Lee Da-in will appear and will air in the second half of this year.
