The television network MBC refused to give permission to actress Choi Jin-sil to star in a drama on rival television channel KBS.
Choi, who has not acted in dramas or films in one year, recently announced that she would star in the upcoming KBS drama "Changmibit Insaeng" ("My Rosy Life"), which translates as "life in pink".
Prior to her break, Choi was under contract with MBC to act in 300 drama episodes, of which she completed about 250 episodes, Yonhap News Agency reported.
When Choi recently asked MBC to release her from her contract, the network refused, and added that it is currently looking into producing a drama that would be fitting for Choi to make her comeback.
