It will tell the story of the Battle of Jangsa-ri, which initiated the Incheon Landing that turned the tide for South Korea and its allies during the Korean War as hundreds of teenage soldiers tried to cut off military supplies for North Korea.
The film will be directed by _Kwak_Gyeong-taek, who was behind the 2001 mega-hit action film "Friend", and Kim Tae-hoon-II, and star Kim Myung-min as the male lead.
Shooting starts in October and the movie will be released next year.
Fox will play Margaret Higgins, a war correspondent for the New York Herald Tribune. Higgins is credited with raising awareness about the war among young people with her books and lectures and the first woman to win the Pulitzer Prize in 1951 for her reportage of the Korean War.
Fox is best known for her starring role in "Transformers" in 2007 and has since starred in "Jennifer's Body" and "Jonah Hex".
