But her recent films "Cart" and "Dad for Rent" continue to draw viewers at the box office amid a wave of Hollywood blockbusters such as "Interstellar" and "Fury". She played a motherly role each film, but in a different way, and was also cast in "Mama - Nothing to Fear", a TV drama on MBC that garnered high ratings during its recent run.
In "Cart", which deals with the plight of supermarket contract workers who face being laid off, Moon plays a single mom who struggles to support her ill son. "Dad for Rent" is a family comedy in which she plays a woman who takes care of a husband with no job.
In both films, Moon stole viewers' hearts with her impressive acting skills.
"I used to have fans in their 30s or 40s as I played mostly characters sympathetic to women in my age range, but I was able to expand my fan base to teenagers, especially after the drama 'Mama - Nothing to Fear'," she said.
