"Motel California" Script Reading

The script reading site of MBC's new Friday-Saturday drama "Motel California", starring actors Lee Se-young and Na In-woo, was revealed.

"Motel California", which will premiere in January 2025, is a first-love remodeling romance drama in which the female protagonist, who was born in a motel in the countryside and grew up there, reunites with her first love in her hometown, where she fled from 12 years ago. It is based on Shim Yoon-seo's popular novel "Home, Bitter Home" in 2019.

"Motel California" showcased the script reading scene on Wednesday. The crew, Lee Se-young, Na In-woo, Choi Min-soo, Kim Tae-hyung, Choi Hee-jin-I, Woo Mi-hwa (Hwang Jeong-goo), Jung Yong-ju (Ryoo Han-woo), Koo Ja-sung (Cha Seung-eon), Lee So-e (Han Ah-reum), Ji Su-won (Soo-ji) and Oh Seung-ah (Assistant Oh) attended the event.

Lee Se-young decomposes into Ji Kang-hee, an interior designer who has lived a difficult life, revealing the cheeky side of a woman who receives the deep love of Na In-woo all at once. She raises expectations by portraying the narrative of a character who has an inner wound due to the unusual background 'motel is home' and mixed-race birth with delicate acting. Attention is paid to Lee Se-young's romance moves, who played an active role in the dramas "The Red Sleeve", "The Story of Park's Marriage Contract" and "What Comes After Love".

Na In-woo is the best handsome veterinarian in a rural village, and he meets his first love in 12 years, Kang-hee, and plays the role of Cheon Yeon-soo suffering from mental conflict. He will deliver warm excitement by emitting the charm of a harmless 'Kang-hee lover' that disarms viewers.

Choi Min-soo melts into the role of Ji Cheon-pil, Kang-hee's father and the owner of a romanticist motel with a free spirit. He gives detailed analyses while reflecting on the meaning of the lines, showing the dignity of an acting veteran.

Kim Tae-hyung plays Geum Seok-kyeong, the only heir to the Young & Rich Elite Hotel, and shows off his presence with his straightforward charm toward Lee Se-young.

Choi Hee-jin-I presents the character Yoon Nan-woo, a college junior and colleague of Yeon-soo, making people look forward to an exciting romance line with her bright acting.
