8th Women's Film Festival in Seoul (WFFIS)

The film festival showcases movies about and by women with a total of 97 films from 33 countries in eight main sections. This year, the event sheds light on the lives of women in Africa, who are comparatively unknown to people here. The festival's programmers' recommendations include the documentary films "Sisters in Law" by director Kim Longinotto; "Unveiled" by Angelina Maccarone; "Good Girl" by Sophie Fillieres; "The Night of Truth" by Fanta Regina Nacro; "Leila Khaled Hijacker" by Lina Makboul; and Janie's Janie by Geri Ashur.
