The new tvN drama begins for the first time on the 1st at 9PM.

"My Unfamiliar Family" is a drama about misunderstandings and understanding between family and other family-like people. Parents and their children spend less time together and have more secrets from each other, living lives on their own and meeting people they know more secrets about than their family. The drama is about family that don't know much about 'me', and family-like people who know more about 'me' than myself. The combination of director Kwon Young-il and writer Kim Eun-jeong, who are well-versed in portraying the subject in a way that anyone can relate to, makes drama fans even more excited. Before the first broadcast, there are points of observation that the production team directly conveys.

- "Are we awkward?" A fresh approach to the 'family' of this generation

"My Unfamiliar Family" is about a universal 'family', but the story of unraveling is by no means ordinary. Through situations faced by each character and various points of view, the process of bringing out the memories that one tries to ignore and bury, facing the secrets of 'me' and 'family' that one does not know, is interestingly brought to life. Above all, the approach of looking into the deepest part of 'family' that has never been known through relationships with others is also different. In a previous production presentation, director Kwon Young-il said, "If family-themed dramas focus on ' harmony ' or 'friendship', this drama shows the current family in a very real way. Sometimes it is uncomfortablely realistic, but through that gaze, we will be able to empathize and communicate more deeply", he said, pointing out the difference.

- The story of a real family that everyone will relate to! Laughing is a must, but the thrilling secrets are an option!

The distinction in "My Unfamiliar Family" is in 'normality'. The real 'family' landscape around us and the stories of ordinary people raise empathy. 'Family' is closer than anyone else, but there is at least one worry and secret that we cannot tell each other. Following each character who lives with their own problems, it suddenly feels like the story of 'me'. The five characters who will lead the story are more important than anything else. Kim Sang-sik (Jung Jin-young), a father who grew distant from his family as he devoted his youth to making a living for them, and Lee Jin-sook (Won Mi-kyung), a mother who has lived by giving up on herself for the sake of her family, are no different from other middle-aged couples. The three siblings, Kim Eun-hee (Han Ye-ri), the second child who is always sacrificing for her two siblings, Kim Eun-joo (Choo Ja-hyun), the first child and a realist who does not hesitate to say anything to her family, and the youngest, Kim Ji-woo (Shin Jae-ha), who grew up to be a good-natured person, are also familiar. However, there is a special twist in the average family. The accident of Kim Sang-sik, the father who returns to the memory of his 22-year-old youth, and Lee Jin-sook's declaration to graduate from their marriage are just the beginning. The secret of the family that bursts in each episode is interesting and dynamic. Director Kwon Young-il said, "It's an ordinary story that happens around us, but it hasn't been brought up. It's interesting how you take it and act when you face an unexpected family affair. The reversal of each other's secrets and relationships, and the family's perspective on dealing with them, will provide different empathy and fun", he said, stimulating expectations.

- Special to the maximum, the work's performances.

The synergy of the actors who will form this ensemble and take charge of the work's reality is absolutely important. The main focus of the casting process was finding actors who are parents, brothers and sisters as appropriate material. Director Kwon Young-il expressed confidence in the actors, saying, "It's a perfect cast that shows us a real family". The best viewing point is the passionate performance of the actors and actresses who will portray the faces of ordinary family members and friends. Han Ye-ri, who has portrayed various faces of youth, is the second child Kim Eun-hee, 'the yielder', and Kim Ji-suk, who is seeking success in consecutive hit dramas, plays Park Chan-hyeok, a free soul full of humanity. The two raise expectations with their indifferent and friendly chemistry. Choo Ja-hyun, who has solid acting skills, plays Kim Eun-joo, the first child and a realist. Kim Eun-joo, who looks perfect but lives with worries, is expected to portray both sides of her inner struggle. Father Kim Sang-sik, who carries the weight of being the head of the household, and mother Lee Jin-sook, who prepares for the second stage of her life, will be played by Jung Jin-young and Won Mi-kyung, respectively, raising the sense of reality with their seasoned performances. In particular, the romance between Kim Sang-sik and Lee Jin-sook, who return to their 22-year-old memories, adds unique fun. Shin Jae-ha takes on the role of Kim Ji-woo, the youngest member of the family and its mood maker, and Shin Dong-wook creates excitement by playing Kim Eun-hee's publisher, Im Geon-joo, who has perfect specifications and looks. Kim Tae-hoon plays Yoon Tae-hyeong, Kim Eun-joo's husband, who is hard to read, and shows an unexpected charm.
