Synopsis
Na Byeong-soo, a job seeker, sees his ordinary life shattered by his stepfather, Seo Gi-pal, who committed adultery at the age of sixty. Amidst his parents' impending divorce, Byeong-soo visits a house his father had hidden away and encounters Geum Chae-rin, a 29-year-old tenant living there. Convinced she is the mistress, Byeong-soo demands she leave immediately, but Chae-rin flatly refuses, asserting she is a legal tenant who has already paid her rent and registered her residency. Adding to his confusion, she reveals she is pregnant. Faced with the reality that his entire family could face ruin, Byeong-soo eventually makes an unexpected agreement with Chae-rin. In exchange for helping her for two years until she gives birth and becomes independent, they agree to keep the matter a secret from both the family and any legal action. In this strange cohabitation, Byeong-soo takes on all the cleaning, cooking, and housework, complaining as he goes about it. However, as time passes-caring for Chae-rin who is struggling with morning sickness, laughing, and arguing together-their relationship begins to change little by little. Meanwhile, as Byeong-soo's mother, Ok-bun, also comes face-to-face with Chae-rin, the relationship between the four takes an unexpected turn. Although not related by blood, they comfort each other's wounds and transform into a true family. A human comedy that portrays the process of forming bonds deeper than blood ties with delightful laughter and heartwarming emotion.
