Synopsis
Korea is still in the Fifth Republic. The dictatorship has not yet ended, and countless people have fled into the mountains. In-hyeok and Sang-joon, detectives in the Daegu Metropolitan Police Counterintelligence Unit, monitor Lee Soo-gyeong daily as the wife of Choi Myeong-hoon, who is wanted for violating the National Security Act. Left alone, Soo-gyeong lives day by day by working as a part-time internet commenter. Feeling betrayed by her husband's family for neglecting her and her husband, and burdened by her miserable life, Soo-gyeong decides to inform In-hyeok and Sang-joon of Myeong-hoon's whereabouts and heads to Suncheon. In-hyeok, who felt compassion for Soo-gyeong, opposes the punitive force's planned investigation and negotiates with the Daegu Metropolitan Police, offering to capture Myeong-hoon as a condition for Soo-gyeong's release.
