[Orion's Daily Ramblings] "Dae Jang Geum Is Watching" Holds Script Reading, Teases Deliciousness

Love, food, and love for food are all great things to have, and they are also great tools to torture audiences with, a skill Korean drama has mastered all too well. Upcoming tale of foodie descendants, "Jang Geum, Oh My Grandma" has held its script reading, and announced its intentions for said torture.

Present at the script reading were PDs Seon Hye-yoon and Oh Mi-kyeong, writer Choi Woo-joo, as well as actors Shin Dong-wook, Kwon Yuri, Lee Yul-eum, Kim Hyun-joon, Jung Yi-rang, Kim Ki-ri, and others. According to the channel, this is a drama that depicts the romantic lives of three siblings who love to eat, and it will also be doing its best to make us drool over delicious food.

Have mercy, series. Actually, don't. Hurt me. Hurt me with food. I'm still wondering if the premise will do more with the iconic name than use it as a draw for viewers, and I don't expect much out of this, but a cute family drama with nice food is good enough a draw. "Jang Geum, Oh My Grandma" will air on MBC every Thursday at 23:10 KST, starting October 11th.
