[Orion's Daily Ramblings] Kim Seo-hyung Cast in "The Great Seducer"
By Vasia Orion | Published on
It has been a while since we enjoyed some Kim Seo-hyung goodness in "The Good Wife" and I have yet to watch "The Villainess", so I'm glad to see the actress back in action. MBC's "The Great Seducer" has not been on my radar and now that I know it is based on the novel "Dangerous Liaisons", I am wondering how it will even work in Korean drama form.

Given the industry's highly reserved nature around sexual matters and relationships as well as an often standardized take on morality, it does not sound like such a piece would translate well. We've seen dramas attempting to adapt saucy and morally complex material fail before. On the other hand, the dramatic connections between the characters sound right up Dramaland's alley. The change into a modern setting will be an interesting challenge. I just hope no one gets it on in a Subway.
Kim Seo-hyung plays Myeong Mi-ri, a self-made, ambitious doctor who is considered a triple-threat of skill, resourcefulness and beauty. Having already established herself at a young age, she is considered an icon of the medical service field.
"The Great Seducer" will be out in March on MBC. It is written by Kim Bo-yeon-I and directed by Kang In-I.
