[Orion's Daily Ramblings] More Bonding in Latest Stills for "Something in the Rain"

If there's one thing which makes me hopeful that "Something in the Rain" may treat an otherwise terribly mistreated trope like the noona romance well, it is in seeing how lively and present its heroine looks when she is with well-fed beau.

The drama has released new stills of what looks like their renewed relationships beginning, and the contrast with her playfulness in previously released material is stark. Yoon Jin-ah (Son Ye-jin) sounds like a character who will be quite relatable in her loss of joy and purpose in life. This is a crisis shared by many persons of a generation raised on dreams now facing a harsher reality.
My hope for this series is that Seo Joon-hee (Jung Hae-in) will give her a less bleak outlook on life, while she gives him someone who is not bound by a lot of the self-imposed romantic obstacles we like setting on ourselves at a younger age. The two actors continue to show promising chemistry, which is a big plus in an OTP-centric series.
Director Ahn Pan-seok has expressed his wish that this will feel like a true love story that will move viewers' hearts. The actors have stated that they trust their director, so it sounds like we have a crew confident in their work. May that confidence translate into a great series. "Something in the Rain" will follow "Misty" on jTBC on March 30th.
