"Romance is a Bonus Book" gives us a first look at its in-drama content, and we're finally meeting heroine Kang Dan-yi, portrayed by Lee Na-young. This marks a comeback for the actor following a lengthy drama hiatus, so it's going to be an interesting reacquaintance for her.

The stills show Dan-yi in different aspects of her life, from the relaxed and in control to the hasty and stressed. We also see her during a job interview, which is the heroine's biggest nemesis. Dan-yi is a once successful copywriter who is now struggling to find a job due to her age, and being overqualified for positions no one wants to get a high-earning person for.
Lee Na-young spoke a bit about her character, saying "Kang Dan-yi is someone who lives bravely, and who doesn't give up on herself, even during difficult situations. Although she's sometimes salty, she is a strong, lovable character". She added "I'm excited and eager to meet Kang Dan-yi, a person anyone can sympathize with, and cheer for. I want to give you this warm sympathy and excitement through her".
She sounds like someone tired, but relentless enough to root for, so I can't wait to meet her. "Romance is a Bonus Book" is the warmly portrayed story of people who make books against the backdrop of a publishing company. It co-stars Lee Jong-suk, and will follow "Memories of the Alhambra" on tvN.
