[Orion's Daily Ramblings] Ryu Seung-soo Joins "Top Star Yoo Baek" as Mother-Like Figure

The romantic island adventures of a has-been celebrity sound like quite the fun and refreshing premise for a romantic comedy, and the titular hero of "Top Star Yoo Baek" now has a partner for said adventures. Actor Ryu Seung-soo has joined the drama as Yoo Baek's no doubt overbearing friend.

"Top Star Yoo Baek" is the story of the aforementioned Yoo Baek (Kim Ji-suk), a top star who has been exiled to an island after causing an incident. The drama is a healing one about the quaint life of a fishing village and its warm inhabitants, as well as a romantic comedy between the hero and a mysterious, charming island belle. It will be airing on tvN later this year.
Ryu Seung-soo will be playing Seo-il, a mother-like figure who is responsible for Yoo Baek's debut, which makes him sound like an agent. Seo-il is described as an 'icon of strategy', having a plan for every situation possible. He is expected to have a very fun chemistry with Yoo Baek's character. I'm all for some entertaining bromance, so bring it on, "Top Star Yoo Baek".
