[Orion's Daily Ramblings] Song Seung-heon is All About the Money in First Teaser for OCN's "The Player"

Upcoming OCN drama "The Player" whips out the Konglish to let us all know that it's all about the 'Money, Steal, Action' in its first teaser. The video is not very descriptive, but it looks like an action-packed series along the lines of "Squad 38", which makes me wonder how true its boasting about a fresh genre will be.

"The Player" is about a conman, a driver, a hacker and a fighter working together in order to recover money collected illegally. Song Seung-heon plays 'born-to-be conman' Kang Ha-ri, Jung Soo-jung is the 'nation's best driver', Cha Ah-ryeong, Lee Si-eon takes on 'hacking master' Im Byeong-min, and Tae Won-seok plays Do Jin-woong, a 'fist fairy'. I just had a flashback to the Ghost of Christmas Present in "Scrooged". Good times.
While I'm not excited about the leads, the creators are always a bigger, more important topic, and the ones here are a bit of a question mark for me. I have only seen PD Ko Jae-hyeon's work in "Black", and this is the first work by award winning rookie writer Shin Jae-hyung. May "The Player" deliver some solid action fluff, starting September 29th on OCN.
