"My Holo Love" is about a lonely woman meeting 'Holo', a perfect being of artificial intelligence who always stays by her side. It is a story of heartbreaking loneliness and painful love, but also the growth that slowly follows these ordeals.
Yoon Hyun-min has been offered Go Nan-do, the owner of an IT research firm and a genius developer, whose existence is only known by his step-sister and the company's official CEO. To everyone else Nan-do died 10 years ago, after committing large-scale hacking for unknown reasons. Are you pulling an "Are You Human?", series?
Ko Sung-hee is up for Han So-yeon, the assistant manager of an eyewear company. She is a skilled, formidable career woman who is always on top of industry trends. Although she is great at her job, her social and personal life suffer due to her prosopagnosia, a condition characterized by the inability to recognize faces.
That's a lot to tackle, and these different elements deserve their own focus, but the creators are definitely promising, so I'm hopeful. "My Holo Love" will be helmed by PD Lee Sang-yeob-I ("Familiar Wife", "Shopping King Louis"), written by Ryoo Yong-jae ("Pied Piper", "Liar Game"), and will premiere next year.
