[Orion's Drama News] Family Bonds
By Vasia Orion | Published on
It has been a week filled with all manner of family as this year and the beginning of the next bring us different types of works on the theme. "Miracle That We Met" is a body-swapping story of a person with two families and I am intrigued by the premise. "The Most Beautiful Goodbye" is closing in and "Mother - Drama" has my attention.

The Miracle I Need
Writer Baek Mi-kyeong of "Strong Woman Do Bong-soon" and "The Lady in Dignity" fame is preparing a drama for next year and the main cast has me shaken. That looks mighty good and I am torn. I found "Strong Woman Do Bong-soon" quite inconsistent and lacking focus, not to mention my personal dislike for its casual ableism, homophobia and other manner of issues. I read great things about "The Lady in Dignity", however, so perhaps "Miracle That We Met" is my second chance.
On the Ori-radar
There are countless of things popping up on my sphere or interest this past week, but some are closer to my heart than others. Aside from the main trailer of "Bad Guys : Vile City" and all its man-glory, we have two beautiful ones for "The Most Beautiful Goodbye" and I feel very not-ready, but also eager for it. I think the first look at "Mother - Drama" becoming a reality is what excites me the most, however. I am excited for all three dramas and I am ready to cover them all.
Upcoming Drama Goodies
"Just Between Lovers" has released lovely new posters and we have the first look into "A Korean Odyssey" through star-focused teasers. Choi Kyu-hwan has been cast in sports themed "God of Ice" and "Live" gets Lee Si-eon as a family-focused seasoned police officer and Lee Joo-young-ii as a fellow police officer. "Misty" will be filming in Thailand and "Cross" gets the addition of Yang Jin-sung into its cast. The cast of "Shall We Kiss First" are all still considering and Oh Ji-ho has been added to the mix.
Followed Dramas
With my current dramas almost ending and no wide availability for "Prison Playbook" in sight, I am focusing on the future and research in film and drama form that will help me wrap my head around upcoming works such as "The Most Beautiful Goodbye" and "Mother - Drama". Until then, I am all done with the series review for "Man-Hole".
