[Orion's Drama News] Timeless Kitsch
By Vasia Orion | Published on
Get your baggy jeans and hoop earrings ready, because "The Best Hit" is here to bring back everything we find embarrassing and sometimes secretly still love from the 90s. Today I take a look at this quirky upcoming title before sharing the usual collection of weekly news. I have also started two of my three new dramas for this exciting season!

Right in the Childhood
Early drama concepts change a lot, but the result is sometimes very surprising. Until the first promotional material for "The Best Hit" appeared, I had dismissed it as just a typical youth drama. Enter time-traveling 90s idol and I am as confused as I am entertained. I am still not sure what to make of it and all I know is that there is also a romantic angle here, but I am intrigued enough. I am also not sure what the tornadoes in the posters mean, but they fit the oddity that is this show so far quite well.
Upcoming Drama Goodies
We have photos and a video from the script reading for "The Bride of Habaek" and new posters for "Lovers in Bloom". The second trailer is out for "Queen for 7 Days" while "The Lady in Dignity" is still dark in its third teaser. Meanwhile, there is more information out on Park Hae-jin's "Four Men". In casting news, Kim Min-jun has a special appearance in "My Sassy Girl - Drama" while Choi Jin-hyuk is being courted for "Hospital Ship". Kim Ok-vin is also courted for "Falsify" while rookie actress Oh Ah-yeon has already been cast for it.
Followed Dramas
I march forward into my new dramas with leftover ending disappointment from "Tunnel - Drama" and a sigh of relief for the end of "Whisper". So far I am enjoying "Circle" and "Lookout" a lot. You can read my "Duel" preview here. Can I get three for three this time? I am working on my backlog as usual, but new dramadventures are exciting.
