According to the broadcasting industry on the 22nd, Park Hae-soo, Lee Hee-jun, and Kwak Sun-young will appear in "Scarecrow" and work together.
"Scarecrow" is based on the Lee Choon-jae serial murder. It is about protecting justice and correcting the truth that the only person who protects humanity does not give in to murderers, times, and public authorities. It also tells the story of those who once lived with murderers, making their lives irreversible. Park Joon-woo, who directed the dramas "Taxi Driver" and "Crash" will direct "Scarecrow".
Lee Choon-jae's serial murder case refers to the so-called Hwaseong serial murder case in which women were raped and killed in Hwaseong, Gyeonggi Province between 1986 and 1991. It was named Lee Choon-jae's serial murder case after 33 years of confirmation of the true culprit. It was previously filmed as "Memories of Murder" by director Bong Joon-ho.
Park Hae-soo plays Kang Tae-joo, a police officer and profiler in the drama. Kang Tae-joo is a police officer who has an evil spirit and a strong desire to win. Kang Tae-joo is a character who begins to pursue the criminal after a series of murders occur in his hometown.
Lee Hee-jun plays Cha Si-yeong, a prosecutor in the drama and a high school classmate of Tae-joo (Park Hae-soo). Lee Hee-jun portrays the ideal prosecutor, as well as the person who becomes entangled with Tae-joo, who he reunites with after taking on the series of murders that cause a stir in the country.
Park Hae-soo and Lee Hee-jun are expected to meet again after their school days in "Scarecrow", causing conflict and raising dramatic tension. They also caught the attention of viewers by working together in the recently released Netflix series "Karma".
Kwak Sun-young plays Seo Ji-won, a journalist and alumni of Tae-joo's elementary school. Ji-won is just and outspoken, and plays the role of a watchman after a series of murders. Attention is focusing on whether she will lead the popularity of "Scarecrow" by re-engaging with Park Joon-woo, the director of "Crash", which gained popularity last year by garnering the highest viewership rating of 6.6%. Attention is also focusing on how Kwak Sun-young will turn into a hot-blooded reporter in "Scarecrow" compared to "Crash", in which she played a police officer.
"Scarecrow" will soon begin filming and will be aired on ENA next year.
