According to her agency Chan Entertainment on the 10th, Park Han-byul was cast as a Yang PD in the movie "Karma - Movie" (director James Han, produced by DMP STUDIO, Light Picture Pictures).
It is the first time in about six years that Park Han-byul has resumed her acting career since MBC's weekend drama "Love in Sadness" which aired in 2019. Park Han-byul stopped her official activities and spent a long hiatus after her husband Yoo In-seok's involvement in the 'Burning Sun Gate'. As it is her return movie for the first time in a long time, expectations and attention are expected to be paid to Park Han-byul's new acting transformation.
"Karma - Movie" is a story about a past misdeed that returns to fatal Karma and collapses life. It is a work that sharply sheds light on the problems of felony trials and sentences and contains heavy messages.
Actors such as Park Han-byul, Park Ho-san, Park Si-hoo, Jung In-gi, and Jang Hyuk-jin will appear.
Producer Yang, played by Park Han-byul in the play, is a documentary program producer who records the lives of crime victims and has a complex inner conflict between the pursuit of truth and provocative content for viewership.
Through this work, Park Han-byul will play a character who walks a tightrope at the ethical boundaries of journalism and cold ambition behind a calm and rational image.
The megaphone for "Karma - Movie" is held by James Han, who made his directing debut with the film "Act" in 2013. The film will be released in theaters next year, starting with domestic and international film festivals in the second half of the year.
