Park Jung-min and BLACKPINK JISOO to Meet as Lovers in Zombie Flick "Newtopia"

Actor Park Jung-min and BLACKPINK JISOO are starring in "Newtopia".

Coupang Play released stills of Park Jung-min and JISOO on the 1st of August, claiming that they are starring in "Newtopia".

"Newtopia" is the story of a couple running across a zombie-infested city, to each other.

Park Jung-min plays Lee Jae-yoon, a late-coming soldier who has anxiety about the future and JISOO is his girlfriend and 'hot' engineering college graduate rookie Kang Yeong-joo.

The released stills show Jae-yoon out of breath, facing a zombie situation and looking bewildered.

His successor In-ho (Im Sung-jae) looks even more alarmed than he does.

On the other hand, Young-joo looks pretty calm somewhere in an alley, anticipating interest.

"Newtopia" is directed by Yoon Sung-hyun from the films "Bleak Night" and "Time to Hunt". This is the third film he's working on with Park Jung-min in addition to "Bleak Night" and "Time to Hunt".

The script is written by Han Ji-won from "Parasite" and Ji Ho-jin from "A Shop for Killers".

"Newtopia" is set for release next year.
