"My Dearest" is a human history melodrama that deals with the love of lovers and the vitality of the people through the Manchurian War.
According to the agency, Park Kang-sub plays the role of Goo-jam, who serves Lee Jang-hyeon (Namkoong Min) as his older brother in the drama.
Goo-jam is a person with a unique charm who is quick-witted and has colorful speech skills. He is displeased with Jang-hyeon who is silly when it comes to showing affectionate love for Yoo Gil-chae (Ahn Eun-jin) despite the horrors of the war, but deep down, he actually cares a lot for Jang-hyeon.
The agency said, "Park Kang-sub will completely play the role of Goo-jam, who is not hated even if he says hateful things through his unique delicate acting".
Expectations are even higher as he received a pass for his first historical drama challenge by showing off his sly comic acting on tvN's "Secret Royal Inspector Joy".
Meanwhile, MBC's new Friday-Saturday drama "My Dearest" Part 1 will premiere at 9:50 PM on August 4th, with a total of 10 episodes, and Part 2 will be released in October.
