Park Min-young Picked For First Korean Original On Amazon

Actress Park Min-young meets with global viewers in partnership with Amazon Prime Video.

According to the production company High Ground on the 26th, Park Min-young will appear in the first Korean original drama "The Confidence Man KR" of global OTT Amazon Prime Video.

"The Confidence Man KR" is a cross-sectional scam involving three talented scammers who target musicians from all walks of life. Park Min-young plays the role of Yoon Yi-rang, a con artist with the top 1 percent of genius brains in the film.

The production company said, ""The Confidence Man KR" will show a new and exciting story that cleverly penetrates the loopholes of the social system and a grammar that cheerfully twists the existing crime genre".

"The Confidence Man KR" is the first Korean drama chosen by Amazon Prime Video. Until now, Korean dramas have been available on the channel through a separate Korean drama section, not the original section.

Park Min-young was previously loved by OTT users through "Marry My Husband". When the drama was aired, it topped the charts in Europe, the U.S., and South America, and steadily ranked in the top 10 more than a year after the show ended.

The production company High Ground said, "Park Min-young's starring role in Amazon's original drama presented a new milestone not only for the actress herself but also for the history of K-content".

"The Confidence Man KR" began filming in September 2024 and recently completed filming of the entire 12-episode series. It is scheduled to air in the second half of 2025.
