Synopsis
Alcoholic Yeong-gyeong and rheumatologist Soo-hwan meet at their friend's second wedding. Both of them had broken off their first marriages. Soo-hwan, who had been working with iron since his twenties, faked a divorce at his wife's urging when the ironwork he had been running went bankrupt, but ended up with a large amount of debt and became a delinquent. Soo-hwan's wife sold off the remaining assets without Soo-hwan's knowledge and disappeared. Soo-hwan, who became a delinquent, could not get health insurance and could not receive proper treatment. Yeong-gyeong, a Korean teacher, gave birth to a child a year after her marriage and divorced immediately. After the divorce, her ex-husband's family took the child and immigrated to Canada without Yeong-gyeong knowing. Yeong-gyeong, who was separated from her child, became an alcoholic. She quits teaching, saying she could not teach students while addicted to alcohol. These two people, who met when they had lost everything, live together as if death saved each other, embracing each other's death.
