Produced by Korea's leading scripted TV studio, Studio Dragon, "Bon Appetit, Your Majesty" follows the story of Yeon Ji-yeong (Lim Yoona), a French chef who cannot tolerate anything less than the best cuisine. After becoming the royal chef of Yeonhuigun, the worst tyrant and demanding gourmet, Ji-yeong survives each day by cooking delicious food.

After debuting in 4th place in Netflix's Global Top 10 Non-English Shows category, "Bon Appetit, Your Majesty" rose into 2nd place throughout the second and third weeks of airing. By soaring to 1st place after the 4th week of airing, "Bon Appetit, Your Majesty" has proved that the global fandom's love and support towards the show is still ongoing.

The global craze for "Bon Appetit, Your Majesty", seems endless. Based on the world-renowned review-aggregation platform, Rotten Tomatoes, the show has scored an average rating of 98%, topping this month's audience rating for Netflix TV shows.

Global media outlets are also highlighting "the "Bon Appetit, Your Majesty" trend". The New York Times called "Bon Appetit, Your Majesty" "a Korean drama that is finding fans around the world". At the same time, Time Magazine presented the show as a K-drama that "tells an escapist and entertaining love story using a historical setting as a fantasy backdrop". Decider, a pop culture website operated by the New York Post, described "Bon Appetit, Your Majesty" as a Korean rom-com that "introduces interesting storytelling elements with usual story beats that viewers take notice of". 

Comments from global fans are further hyping up the show's popularity. Some of them said, ""Bon Appetit, Your Majesty" enticed me into the world of K-drama once again", "the essence of Korean rom-com", and "Fantastic delivery of cinematography filled with amazing cuisine and well-structured narrative", showing their full support for the show.

The viewership in Korea is skyrocketing. The 8th episode of "Bon Appetit, Your Majesty" reached the average household viewership of 15.8% (peak: 18.1%), ranking 1st among same-time-slot dramas and breaking its previous record.

Hye-young Lee, Chief Producer at Studio Dragon, who is in charge of "Bon Appetit, Your Majesty", and produced the 2024 mega-hit title Queen of Tears, commented, "I'm genuinely thrilled and touched to witness the amount of love and support that "Bon Appetit, Your Majesty" is receiving from global fans and continuing the legacy of "Queen of Tears".
