[Press Release] "Demon Dancer: Sua/Nara" to Be Released in Korea

The film has gained attention for its approach to practical stunt filmmaking and its fusion of stylized action inspired by anime and manga aesthetics.

A key sequence features a high-risk fight staged inside a descending car elevator (Automated Parking System), executed under real conditions in South Korea. The setup is rarely used in film due to its technical complexity and safety constraints.

The sequence was developed in collaboration with Blue Dragon Award-winning action choreographer Kwon Gui-duck ("The Villainess", "The Wailing"), who joined the project after Korosi pitched the concept of staging a full fight inside the confined moving structure. The sequence has since been recognized as a first-of-its-kind achievement in South Korean action filmmaking.

The film was shot entirely in South Korea across four locations: Gwangju, Gokseong, Geoje, and Paju (near the DMZ).

Synopsis:
A Korean ballerina, Sua, is left on the edge of death after a brutal attack. As her life fades, fragmented memories rush in, unfolding in flashes that move backward in time to reveal how she reached this moment and how she became bound to the demon Nara.
