Premiering August 15, this second season of the 2023 docuseries In the Name of God: A Holy Betrayal will once again examine firsthand accounts of resilience in the face of unspeakable tragedy. A first-look teaser has been unveiled.

Expanding on the investigative foundation of Season 1, The Echoes of Survivors revisits the JMS case with new testimony and context, while uncovering three additional tragedies that have left lasting scars on the nation's collective memory. Through intimate interviews, rare archival footage, and a survivor-centered lens, the series explores not just the events themselves, but the enduring strength of those who lived through them.
Told with care, clarity, and purpose, the season reframes public memory through personal truth, amplifying voices that have gone unheard for too long. Directed by Jo Seong-hyeon, the creative team behind Season 1 returns to continue their work in courageous, deeply human investigative storytelling.
The Echoes of Survivors: Inside Korea's Tragedies premieres August 15, only on Netflix.
