Pyeongchang to Mark 1st Anniversary of Winter Olympics

Gangwon Province is preparing to mark the first anniversary of the Winter Olympics and Paralympics in Pyeongchang.

The provincial government said Thursday that it will hold a series of events to celebrate the Olympic anniversary in Pyeongchang, Gangneung, Jeongseon and other cities in the province from Feb. 7 to 17.
The three cities are where Olympic stadiums and venues were located.
On Feb. 9, the day when the Olympics kicked off last year, a ceremony and a K-pop concert will be staged with Olympic figure skating champion Kim Yu-na, pianist Son Yeol-eum, singer Baek Ji-young and other stars among the participants.
