TvN reported on Monday that it will air tvN's new drama "Resident Playbook" and it will premiere on April 12th.

"Resident Playbook" is a spin-off drama of "Hospital Playlist" about residents who dream of becoming a doctor someday, starring actors Go Youn-jung and others.

As "Hospital Playlist" recorded high ratings, interest in the spin-off was also great. The main actor Go Youn-jung joined the drama, raising expectations, but the show was postponed due to a doctors' strike.

Earlier in February last year, doctors from major hospitals resigned and went on strike. In response, "Resident Playbook" was scheduled to be broadcast after tvN's "Queen of Tears", but it was postponed due to opposition. As the views of striking medical doctors were mixed, the airing of "Resident Playbook" became increasingly unclear.

Although doctors on strike have not returned, tvN has organized "Resident Playbook" again in about a year. Recently, the Netflix series "The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call" became a medical drama that was acclaimed at home and abroad despite the medical strike, and the recognition gradually improved. As "Resident Playbook" begins airing next month, it raises questions about the response.

News of the KBS Joy "Dear.M" was also reported on the same day. "Dear.M" is a campus mystery romance drama that finds'M the main character of an anonymous confession posted on the Seoyeon University community, starring actress Park Hye-soo.

"Dear.M" drifted without being aired for as many as four years. That's because the main actor Park Hye-soo was involved in suspicion of school violence. In 2021, an article was posted on the online community, revealing Park Hye-soo's school record.

Park Hye-soo, who has been self-reflecting for two years, said at the press preview of "The Dream Songs", "The investigation is still underway. My position remains unchanged. I will do my best until the end and resumed my activities". Although Park Hye-soo denied the allegation of school violence, there were many opinions that it was too early to air "Dear.M" because nothing had been revealed yet.

"Dear.M" has confirmed its programming for the first time in four years and confirmed its first broadcast on the 14th of next month, drawing keen attention.
