Moon Jeong-hee plays Kim Da-jeong, who is a reserve officer and a commentator for the DMZ Memorial Hall, in "Search" which draws attention being the genre of a 'multi-thriller'. Moon Jeong-hee first introduced her role as 'a person who lives with her family in Cheongong-ri, an unarmed village, and who unintentionally intervenes in the case after being suspicious of the special forces movement that suddenly begins to stride through the village'.
It is important to note that she is a former Special Forces member. That's why she sweated while training at an action school before filming. Moon Jeong-hee, who said, "I learned gun training and military expressions for about two months", stimulated curiosity with her interesting 'spoiler' saying, "It's no secret that this role has the most action scenes!". Her action begins when she gets involved in a volatile situation while she's at home, spending quality time with her family.
There were some difficulties with physical training, but 'bonding' between one another accumulated because of it and it was the reason why filming was fun. Moon Jeong-hee said, "We were able to get a lot closer in advance because the actors trained together in action schools for months. It was hard to shoot in the middle of summer armed with military uniforms, but we bonded like that", showing off the special chemistry of those chasing unknown enemies.
In addition to being able to challenge new acting as an actor, the fresh combination of genres was Moon Jeong-hee's choice of "Search". "There were existing military-based dramas, but it is an attractive work with the characteristics of 'action' and 'thriller'", she said, expressing her high expectations as it is a work she met with OCN, a channel that captivates viewers with differentiated genres. "I think the screen composition and the narrative of the drama can be quite fresh to the viewers", she added.
Lastly, Moon Jeong-hee, who said that the setting of fighting an 'unknown enemy' was most interesting, said, "If you pay attention to what kind of enemy soldiers and the people of Cheongong-ri will face and how conflicts between people are portrayed in the Demilitarized Zone, you can enjoy it more".
Meanwhile, "Search" tells the story of a top-notch search party formed to uncover the secrets of the mysterious disappearance and murder that begins in the front-line DMZ. It is the fourth project of OCN Dramatic Cinema, which combines the format of movies and dramas and a large number of film producers have joined forces to produce well-made genres through the production of movies and the dense story of dramas. It was directed by Im Dae-woong and written by Goo Mo and Go Myeong-joo. It will premiere on the 17th of October at 10:30PM.
