Actress Shim Yi-young has been cast as the main character Pi Seon-joo in MBC's new daily drama "Desperate Mrs. Seon-ju".

"Desperate Mrs. Seon-ju" is a life-remodeling human drama of Seon-joo, a woman who breaks down the wrong marriage and builds a new house to start anew. Seo Jung-I, who wrote the drama "My Wonderful Life" wrote the drama, and directed by Kim Heung-dong, the director of "Enemies From the Past", "The Great Wives", "Everything Kimchi" and "God of War".

Shim Yi-young plays interior designer Pi Seon-joo, the title role. Seon-joo is a local interior designer with a strong sense of life and dedicates herself to her husband's success, but she is a strong and courageous character who starts remodeling her life after being divorced overnight due to betrayal by her husband.

Meanwhile, "Desperate Mrs. Seon-ju" will air in November following "The Brave Yong Su-jeong" starring Uhm Hyun-kyung and Seo Jun-young.
