According to a report by MyDaily on January 22nd, Shin Se-kyung has decided to star in the drama "The World They Live In".
In the series, Shin plays Sin Se-wool, a brand designer. One day, despite having little interest in marriage, three men suddenly enter her life. Determined to make the most efficient choice, she tries to rely on reason as much as possible, but the colorful romantic advances of the three men gradually cause her rational resolve to waver.
This marks Shin Se-kyung's first drama appearance in two years since "Captivating the King", which aired in January 2024, and her first romance drama in six years since "Run On".
"The World They Live In" is based on a Naver webtoon that was serialized from April 2021 to October 2022. It tells the bittersweet, bewildering, and heart-fluttering 'average-finding project' of a woman who wants nothing more than to be ordinary but has never been able to live an ordinary life. Rather than adhering strictly to the original, the story has been adapted with a different tone for its dramatic version. The series will be directed by Kim Yong-wan, who previously helmed Netflix's "The Whirlwind" and tvN's "Head Over Heels".
