The National Science Museum announced that they received a life-size replica of Shingijeon from the movie company KNJ, after the filming of their historical blockbuster "Shingijeon", or "The Divine Weapon".
The museum in Daejeon held a ceremony for the donation attended by both "The Divine Weapon" director Kim Yoo-jin and his lead actress, Han Da-gam.
The replica of Shingijeon will be displayed at the entrance hall.
"We received a lot of help from the National Science Museum during the filming of the movie, so this donation is a sign of our gratitude", said director Kim Yoo-jin. "I hope this will help our students realize the outstanding achievements of our ancestors in the realm of science and technology", he added.
"The Shingijeon replica was a prop used in a movie, but it was made to exacting measurements", announced a museum administrator, who added, "Therefore, this replica will be a great treat for visitors to our museum".
