Son Ye-jin's Historical Drama Tops 2 Million Viewer Mark in 1 Week

"The Last Princess", starring actress Son Ye-jin, drew more than 2 million moviegoers in the first seven days since its release.

The film directed by Hur Jin-ho took the top spot in the box office by drawing some 253,000 viewers on Monday alone, when the total number until then reached 1.96 million, according to the Korean Film Council.
And the number passed the 2 million mark on Tuesday.
The flick follows the ill-fated life of Korea's last princess, Deok-hye, as she is forced to move to Japan under the oppressive Japanese colonial rule.
