Son Ye-jin to star in Japanese commercials

Actress Son Ye-jin is set to debut in Japanese TV commercials. Japanese sports dailies, including Sports Nippon and Sankei Sports, reported on Sept. 29 that Son had been cast to star in a TV commercial for the canned coffee brand "Georgia".
Son's popularity has skyrocketed in Japan recently on the success of the movie "April Snow", in which she stars opposite Bae Yong-joon. She has signed a contract with Bae's Japanese agency IMX to manage her in Japan and is undertaking efforts to make further inroads into that country.
On Sept. 28 the actress held a press conference in Tokyo, Japan to announce her plans to star in a TV commercial that will premiere on Oct. 1.
